• The Finger Lakes Scenic Railway does excursions all summer.
• There are hikes around Ithaca. There are beautiful parks with waterfalls. Ithaca Falls Natural Area.

• Seneca Falls is about an hour away. It is home to the Women’s Rights National Historical Park!
• Cooperstown is about 2 hours away.
• There are lots of state parks that have more developed areas with boat rentals and picnic areas, as well as a variety of hiking/walking trails.

For Dori’s birthday, we ventured out to Saratoga Springs to make a weekend out of the beautiful Fall weather here in Central New York. We are not disappointed. We stayed at a magnificent Bed & Breakfast called Maple Shade B & B for an amazing rate, ate like kings at Scallions which is checkered with funky, endearing furniture from a this awesome group called Sticks – which, by happenstance, is run by the mother of a Gamma Phi Beta (Dori’s Sorority and current employer). Small world.

But the real reason for this post is not a recap. While in Saratoga Springs, we met with our wedding photographer. Andrea Casey is out-of-this-world awesome, by the way. Andrea took some magnificent engagement photographs. We wanted to share them with you. A few of them are below. Check the Picture Book for more!

Only 365 days, Dori.  And then a ring, a move, a dog, a house, and a life in the same place.  I figured today would be a good time to get this started and an awesome day to start counting down.  Happy 1 year pre-anniversary.
